Functional Description
Overview
As going by the word “mono” & “Zero”, monoZero represents monoZ`s first thing in IoT space. monoZero is a compact and powerful cellular connectivity enabled development kit loaded with several peripherals allowing users to easily connect and control their sensors or other devices. This is an add-on board in the monoZero ecosystem and can be configured with monoZ: SDK libraries to reduce go to market time. monoZero Grove board host grove ports to connect sensors/peripherals/devices on interfaces such as I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, RS232 and GPIOs.
Features
- Supports 6 grove interface for simple integration of grove-based sensors
- RS232 connector for external peripheral devices
Board layout
- Grove Port 1 - Bus interface used to transmit data between microcontrollers and small peripherals
- Grove Port 2 - Bus interface used to connect I2C protocol devices for serial communication
- Grove Port 3 - Digital signal pin which may be used as an input, output or both and are configurable by the user at runtime
- Grove Port 4 - Two-wired bus interface, half duplex, high-speed network system that is better than existing serial communication protocol
- Grove Port 5 - Asynchronous serial communication between a microcontroller and a peripheral device connected to the serial port
- Grove Port 6 - Analog signal pin which may be an input or output or both are configurable by the user at runtime
- Connector-J4 - 40 pin connector
- Connector-J3 - 40 pin connector
- RS232 Connector - Bus interface used for serial communication for connecting microcontroller and its peripheral devices to allow serial data exchange between them at low power mode using Low Power UART interface(LPUART1)
Pinout and Description
- When the Grove board is stacked to the connectivity board, it takes the pin configuration of the connectivity board.
